Knight

Knight is the free starter hero that every account ships with from stage 1-1. Its stat line is built around the frontline slot: the roster's highest base HP and armor, the highest base ATK, and a +25% boss stagger bonus that no other hero carries. The slow attack speed and the slowest move speed of the six heroes are part of the same trade. Knight is the slot that stays in melee, soaks hits, and lets the backline do its job.

The skill tree reinforces that role. Piercing Thrust and Shield Charge are available from Unlock Row 0 for early engagement, and Unyielding Will at Unlock Row 40 lets Knight self-revive once per stage. Treat Knight as the sticky frontline rather than a stacking partner. Pairing it with Slayer puts two melee sustains in front of the same enemy packs, which usually means neither survives long enough for the backline to ramp.
